The ruggedised and highly accurate eyeTrain Automatic Passenger Counting (APC) system can be used to prevent under and over occupancy and advise passengers of seat availability.
The digital train system determines passenger flow in both directions through vertical infra-red detectors positioned at all vehicle doors. This allows the movement of passengers to be studied on both a car by car and door by door basis.
The collected passenger load data is automatically combined with the vehicle name/number, station location, time and date fields at a central data server, which can be hosted by Petards Rail or a third party. This data allows you to set timetables and routes that match the measured passenger demand – helping you to enhance operational efficiency and ultimately improve passenger satisfaction.
