Passenger safety combines brilliantly with the aim to minimise platform dwell time with our certified up to SIL 2 DCO system. A series of wide, dynamic range digital cameras affix to a train’s exterior. These cameras clearly show rail staff, viewing the train’s in-cab monitor (ICM), if there is anyone on a railway station’s platform between the yellow line and the train doors.

Robust Environmentally Sealed Enclosures

The camera modules of our DCO system can be supplied in robust IP68 and IP6K9K sealed enclosures, which come complete with internal and anti-condensation heating.

Vandal and Graffiti Proof

Testing performed on our cameras to IK10+ and NEMA4X ratings resists impacts that commonly occur in operations. Combined with a solid housing and rail approved coating specification, resists graffiti and corrosion.

Adaptable to Environmental Lighting

Built in Infrared lights supports conditions down to 0lux for use in all operational conditions. Providing colour images down to 0.1lux gives the best quality images to the drivers.

High Image Quality Video

Our reliable and high Megapixel cameras offer resolutions up to 5MP at 30fps ensuring high quality images in line with the British Transport Police. Combined with advanced compression and storage techniques data can be stored for as long as needed.

Several Safety Checks Offered

Image protection for frozen, latent and dropped frames is offered by our DCO system. Our DCO system also provide guaranteed end-to-end latency of less than 600ms, as well as the option to record images.

Captured Images Delivering Accurate Footage

Timestamp, location and metadata are all provided on the images captured by our DCO system, which are cross checked at multiple points to ensure a train driver sees accurate footage.

eyeTrain Modular DCO System

Petards Rail’s systems are designed to be modular and adaptable to functions and integration requirements. For instance, a typical standalone DCO system can combine with our ASDO, interior surveillance, forward facing, pantograph, track debris, APC, and PTeye cameras, depending on your requirements.

Remotely Access and Control Data

Petards EyeBOS software allows you to view live footage on train and review important diagnostic information utilising any web based browser on any device.

Video search, viewing and export is possible thanks to our interior surveillance camera working with Petards eyeTrain CryptoVision software. Maintain a strong audit trail by detecting tampering of data and monitor traceability of data.

Streaming captured CCTV video to on-board devices and off train means that real-time decisions can be made about incidents that risk impacting passenger safety or operational reliability.
